The Girls is a brand new musical based on the hit film and play, Calendar Girls. It tells the real-life story of life in their village in rural Yorkshire, the effect it all had on their loved ones, and how these ordinary women came together to create something extraordinary.
The Girls is co-written by Gary Barlow, a 6-time winner of the Ivor Novello Award and writer of 14 UK number one singles, and Tim Firth, who has an Olivier Award and UK Theatre Award to his name, as well as a Comedy Film Award for Calendar Girls.
First and foremost, expect stunning music. It’s not every day you find the dream team of Tim Firth and Gary Barlow penning your tunes, and this original score includes Yes I’ve Had a Little Work Done, Sunflower, What Age Expects, and Dare. We promise you: they’re all corkers. This production went down a storm at The Grand in Leeds and the Lowry Theatre in Salford, and we expect it’ll go down very well in London too!
Add a hotel to your The Girls theatre break and spend a night in a fantastic London location. We’ve searched high and low and scrutinised every property we offer to make sure you’re guaranteed a clean and comfortable night, whether you pick a budget option or beautiful boutique.
